Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries exists to give every child in foster care “A Safe Place to Be a Child.” Each year, hundreds of children enter foster care in mid-Missouri, and Coyote Hill provides residential homes where home parents care for siblings together, addressing the social and emotional needs of children alongside the basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing.

Founded in 1991 by Larry and Cathy McDaniel, Coyote Hill has grown over more than 30 years from a single home into a 300-acre campus with multiple homes, supported programs, and a wide community of donors and volunteers. The mission is Christ-centered, and the organization is anchored in a set of core values built around the FOSTER acronym—a reminder of who is being served and why this work matters.

Coyote Hill makes an eternally significant difference in the lives of generations to come by making an everyday difference in the lives of children affected by abuse and neglect. The organization invites the Columbia community to support its work through volunteering, events, and giving.
